What is Hospice?
It may not be what you expect. Many people think hospice means the end of life. Hospice is a service designed to make you as comfortable as posssible during a life-limiting illness or end of life experience. The goal of hospice is comfort and quality of life rather than the pursuit of curative methods.
Where does Hospice take place?
While most people prefer to receive hospice care at home, individuals living in nursing facilities, hospitals, or other assisted living centers are also eligible for hospice care. Hospice is not just for those living at their primary residence.
Hospice does not mean giving up hope.
Hospice does not mean giving up hope. At times, our patients recover from terminal illness due in part to care received while on hospice. At Tender Care, we recognize the value of hope and the importance of faith.
