Interested in volunteering? Hospice Volunteers offer patients and families a listening ear, a hand to hold, and the presence of a caring heart. Services offered by the volunteers are as varied as the needs of the patients and families. Through companionship and support, you would be making a difference in the lives of others – and your own too. Volunteers provide companionship to patients through conversation, reading, letter writing, music appreciation, movie/TV watching, walking or sitting outside to get some fresh air, and all sorts of hobby sharing. Volunteers provide respite to family caregivers, so they may take a break from their caregiving duties for a couple of hours. No special skills or education are required, only a generous heart. Our volunteers undergo thorough training on Hospice, before becoming a member of the Hospice care team where support is always available. They then are assigned to patients based on their needs. If you are interested, please complete the volunteer form below and we will be in touch with you.
